Wireless intercom uses low power, multiple frequencies of FM radio
to allow duplex intercom operation.
Sometimes known as RFPL, this allows the user(s)

the
use of range and cable free movement though out a venue. Multiple
channels of intercom are often interfaced within the wireless base
stations to provide additional communication requirements.
Individual channels of intercom are connected to one or multiple
base stations. The base stations are often linked to provide
more than the 4 to 6 users per base station communicate on one or
more channels of intercom. Outboard antenna systems can often
enhance coverage and reduce noise concerns. RF combiners are
often used to use a minimum amount of antennas for several RFPL
systems.
